Dietary Health Study

 

Cork Clinic

 

We're looking for volunteers to help us explore how camera technology and metabolism information can improve dietary reporting and boost our understanding of metabolic pathways.

 

All participants will receive €500 upon completion of the study.

Study Background

 

We are partnering with Teagasc to study how effective AI-based dietary advice is in lowering the risk of metabolic diseases, compared to advice from current guidelines.

 

We will use camera and watch technology to analyse diets, offering a modern approach to traditional methods.


This study is observational, so you don't have to take any supplements like you would in most clinical trials. It's easier and more comfortable for you.

Who is Eligible?

 

All our studies have eligibility criteria which is dependent on the type of study, the health area and the population.

 

  • Adults aged 18-65 years
  • High body mass index (greater than 25kg/m2)
  • Waist circumference greater than 102cm for males, and 88cm for females (Asian ethnicity greater than 90 cm in males and greater than 80 cm in females)

What's Involved in Participating?

Wear an activity & sleep wristband daily.

Attend 5 onsite visits to our Cork clinic and 2 phone calls.

Blood, stool, are urine samples are required as part of this study.

If you're a match for the study, our team will reach out to you to schedule an onsite visit where we'll do a final screening
