- Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)
The OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) allows us to take multiple blood tests over the course of 2-hrs whilst only having to inset a needle once, into a vein in your arm. You will arrive fasting and after the first blood draw will be asked to drink a sugary drink. We will then take a number of blood tests over to the 2-hrs to see how quickly the glucose enters and leaves your blood. This is a standard test in the diagnosis and management of Type 2 diabetes.
