Low Mood Study
This study is now closed and no longer accepting applications.
In this study are looking for volunteers to help us look at a dietary supplement to see if it can ease symptoms and reduce low mood.
Participants will receive up to $1000 for completing this study.
Study Background
Our body houses trillions of tiny organisms, primarily in the gut, which play a major role in our overall health. This community of microbes influences everything from our digestion to our mood. Scientists have discovered that what we eat can change this microbial community, thereby affecting how we feel, think, and even our immunity. This connection between the gut and the brain, known as the "gut-brain axis," and allows our brain to communicate with our gastrointestinal system.
In this study, we are investigating how a food supplement might support mood and enhance quality of life. While previous research have shown promising effects on gut and brain health, there is a lack of evidence. This study aims to fill that gap by examining whether daily consumption of this food supplement can improve participants' mood, sleep, and overall quality of life.
