Constipation Study

In this study, we are looking for volunteers to help us look at the effect of a probiotic on symptoms of constipation. 

All participants will receive $600 upon completion of the study

Study Background

 

This study looks at the effect of a probiotic on those with constipation or low bowel movement frequency. Previous research into the probiotic being used in this study has shown that it improved symptoms of constipation but currently, there is no research for a US population. 

Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to either receive the probiotic product or a placebo, which is a non-active version of the product.

Who is Eligible?

 

All our studies have eligibility criteria which is dependent on the type of study, the health area and the population.

  • Adults aged 18-65
  • Constipation (less than 3 bowel movements per week) or low bowel movement frequency
  • Generally healthy

Consume study product daily for 8 weeks.

Attend 3 onsite visits to our clinic in Downtown, Chicago over 10-11 weeks.

Blood, urine & stool samples are required as part of this study.
