Sport & Cognitive Performance  Study

 

Cork Clinic

 

In this study, we are looking for volunteers to help us investigate the effect of a supplement on cognitive function and sports performance. 

 

All participants will receive €400 upon completion of the study.

Study Background

 

The aim of this study is to explore the effects of glycerophosphocholine (GPC) supplement on cognitive function and sports performance in active adults, over an 8 week period.

 

GPC has been previously shown to improve brain function which can support memory, learning and focus. 


Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to either receive the  product or a placebo, which is a non-active version of the product.

Who is Eligible?

 

All our studies have eligibility criteria which is dependent on the type of study, the health area and the population.

 

  • Generally healthy adults, aged 25-55
  • Body Mass Index of 18.5-32.0 kg/m2
  • Participate in muscle strengthening exercises 2-3 times per week or have participated in recreational moderate intensity exercise for the last 2 years

What's Involved in Participating?

Product

Consume 1 capsule every morning for 6 weeks.

Attend 3 onsite visits to our Cork clinic.

Blood and urine samples, cognitive tests, questionnaires, sports performance tests and a food diary.
