Firefighter Health Study

In this study, we are looking for volunteers to explore how a dietary supplement may support the body’s natural elimination processes in retired or non-active duty firefighters. 

 

All participants will receive $600 upon completion of the study.

Study Background

 

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of a dietary supplement on gut health and supporting the body’s natural elimination of compounds from non-natural sources over 12 weeks. 

 

PFAS, often called “forever chemicals,” are a large group of man-made chemicals that don’t break down easily, which raises concerns for the environment and human health. Studies show that most people have been exposed to them. 

 

The study is divided into two 12-week phases:

  • You will take the study product for 12 weeks

  • Then you will have a 4-week washout break where you won’t take any product

  • After that, you will begin taking the product again for another 12 weeks

  • This means you’ll take the supplement for 24 weeks in total, with a 4-week break in between.

Who is Eligible?

 

All our studies have eligibility criteria which is dependent on the type of study, the health area and the population.

 

  • Males
  • Retired or in non-active duty firefighting
